What’s the Moral? (2)

He thought about it all night, but couldn't realize whether it was a dream or not. Next day, he went to the office.

His friend came to him and said, "Boss is waiting for you from 5 minutes".

He: Why?

Friend: I donno. Go and ask him.

He entered the room. His boss asked him where the report of the project was. His report should white sheets with results and work done written on one side of sheet only leaving the other unused. He couldn't answer the question because he didn't know where it was.

He: Sir, I will submit by tomorrow.

Boss: You told me that you will submit it today.

He: Sorry sir, I completed the report, but I forgot where it was.

Boss: OK, give it to me tomorrow. 

As far as he remember, he wanted to revise the report for mistakes. So, he kept that in his car that day(he was fully drunk) before attending the party. He drank too much and so his friend wanted to drive him home safely. At that time, he remembered that this report was in his car. So, he moved that report from his car to his friend's. After that, he couldn't remember what happened next.

He went straight to his friend and asked about it. His friend said," After you got out of my car, I gave that to you asking you to hold it".

He: Idiot. How can you think that I could hold it tight after being fully drunk?.

Friend: Leave about it. Now, where do you think it is?

He: I have to submit by tomorrow. We have to search for it.

Now, the dream(his friend called it so) got to his notice. In that dream:

After his friend left, when he was half asleep, he heard a knock on his door. With great difficulty, he got up from his friend and opened the door. It was her with a file in her hand. 

She: I find this on the road. Is this yours?

He: Yeah, that's mine. Thanks. (Saying that, he took it from her). I want to talk to you.

She: Not now because you dont seem to be in good condition. What about tomorrow?

He: OK. When and Where?

She: I am going to meet an old friend of mine at 4:00. We shall meet on the bridge at 5:00 (in the evening). Is it OK for you?

He: OK.

She: Good Night.

He: Good Night.

 He took that to his bed room and then threw that on the table with first page.( The papers were not filed yet).

He went home after working hours were over. He opened the door of his bed room and found all the papers spread over the floor. He realized that it wasn't a dream. He collected all of them and kept them in the order, but one of them was missing.

Guess what happened to that one.

………………………………IT WAS THE LOVE LETTER THAT HE THREW IN THE RIVER…………..

What’s the Moral?

This is the story of a guy who falls in love. He works in a well-known company. They provide him with a nice house, car and good salary too. He loves the girl, who lives in the house infront of his, but he doesn't know whether she loves him or not.One day, he was standing on the bridge, with a beautiful red rose in one hand and love letter in another hand, waiting for his lover. They decided to meet there that evening. So, he was waiting for her eagerly.

It started to rain and she wasn't coming. He couldn't imagine his life without her and so he decided to die if she didn't come. He waited for another 5 mins and then threw them(rose and letter) in the river and was about to jump into the river. Then he heard a voice saying, "What the hell do you think you are doing?". He turned around to find who it was.

It was his friend. He didn't expect him here.

He: What are you doing here?

Friend: I am just passing by and find that you are doing something crazy. Why are you doing that? Do you loose something or someone really important?

He: Yeah. Thats her, we decided to meet here and she disappointed me. I can't live without her.

Friend: When did you talk to her?

He: Yesterday Night, after we had our party.

Friend: Then you must be dreaming. As you were fully drunk, I drove you to your house, parking your car at bar itself, in my car. I was there with you until you fell asleep and you seemed completely unconscious. Perhaps, you were thinking about her and so, you got this dream. Finally, Please dont think of her a lot and concentrate on work.

He: Thats a dream!! Thank God. I didn't loose my life for a dream.

Friend: Ofcourse, you aren't that brave enough to commit a suicide. Its raining and let me drop you at your house.

While they were going, he saw her going that way and seemed to be in tension driving fast. He thought, " Why is she coming this way?"

CN Presentations

PRK rao rocks at taking presentions(Sorry for being sarcastic). He asked every one who took that course to present a term paper about some topic related to Communication Networks. It seems that there is no use giving that presentation.
My presentation went on like this: I submitted my report about the term paper and when I was about to start my presentation, he asked me this question, " Do you think your interest remained the same as in the previous year's?" (Actually I cant follow his lectures because even if we miss a sentence, we wont be able to understand the rest of the lecture, that too CN , almost theoretical, its too difficult to follow. So, I am not interested and I used to sit in the last bench and do some work that is not related to CN). I tried to conceal that fact by saying that there are 2 projects and its tough to concentrate on this course. But he asked me the same question again and asked me to be honest this time. I have no choice left and I said it. 

    Now the presentation starts. I didn't prepare well. I chose a term paper named "A simulation of GPRS network". I copied the information from that paper to the ppt and I copied the images of simulation results and kept them at the end of presentation. At first, i thought I shouldn't keep them because he would ask whether I did them on my own or not. But I thought they were just graphs and he wouldn't concentrate on them. They made the difference. When he saw the title, he asked, "What do you think "general" stands for in GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)? ". I gave some answer but I didn't know whether it is correct or not. He seemed to be satisfied by that answer. I continued my presentation, but he was not listening to me and turning his attendence report games(may be checking who else are to present). I dont remember the theory properly. So, taking the chance, I started reading from the report and checking in the middle whether he was listening to me or not. After sometime, he saw those simulation results.

    Then he asked " Did you do these or reproduced these results?" . I whisphered that I reproduces them (I think he didnt hear that). He repeated the question. Now I answered him loud enough that he could hear it. He asked me to go to "Simulation results" page on my ppt and explain them. I read the last 3 points for whose I could understand the meaning. (There are 15 mobile users and actually throughput was given up no. of users for 0 to 12 and throughput was given under odd and even cases).

    He asked me what happened to the remaining no. of users i.e.,  13 and 14 ?

    He asked me why even and odd have different throughput?

      He then asked me to turn to the 1st graph obtained through simulation and I did it.

He asked me to explain that graph and it was 1st time I saw that graph( sorry 2nd time, 1st time while copying). I read what was given there(Mobile stations rejected during Attach request vs time taking 13 and 14 as mobile users). I told him that it was no. of mobile stations that were rejected during the process. He asked me, "But there are 15 mobile users right ?" and asked some question I dont remember now. I went through it carefully and explained it as at which time either 13 or 14 are dropped (some sort of statement like this". He repeated the same question 2 times and I told the same answer. Then he asked me why was the time taken on X-axis irregular?. Now comes

He said that I was reproducing results and throwing on his face as he asked for it. 

Question: Can you explain it correctly?

My answer: No.

Then he said, "You can go." I thought I would definitely get an F in CN.

He failed only one guy in his course (CN), but the grades were not OUT and I have to wait for them to exactly know that I didn't fail in his course.

P.S.: Our (ECE guys) VLSI tool ppt has been postponed to Monday and have to stay in this college till Monday. 

These might be Miracles in my life!!!

1) Longest Working Day at IIIT: April 6th is the my longest working day at IIIT. I spent nearly 10 hours of that day working i.e., studying wavelets (2 1/2 hrs) and writing VHDL notes (7 1/2 hrs).
2)Till this endsem, I have no hopes on Wavelets that I will pass the course. This is because I was absent for atleast 8 classes, didn't submit 3 out of 4 assignments and got least mark (11.5/35) in the only midsem, but I managed to write that exam on 8th of april well. Now I think of atleast a B- in that course.
3)Last but not the least is that I took a resolution on April 2nd not to play games(computer games) for some time, which I didn't break so far. I hope it will be best on my part if I continue that for the time I am

expected to keep that.

PS: This week(April 10th – 15th) is going to be very hard for us(ECE guys) 3 presentations and 2 assignment submissions along with40 page report of VLSI tools project.

Story of a Gamer

The gamer(X) whom I am talking about, plays games almost everyday,i.e., he is addicted to games. One day, his professor came to the class with answer sheets. He thought that he wrote the exam not bad, but he got very less marks. He felt very bad and took a resolution the same day that he wouldn't play games from the next day.

Guess what he did the day he took the resolution. The same evening, he was participating in the group discussion with his friends about the marks. They all were feeling the same way as he was feeling, but they didn't take any resolution. He was bored of having a long conversation and he wanted to something different. At this time, a friend of his came and said he was going to the lab and asked him whether he would join him or not. The game(X) remembered that the resolution taken was to be followed from the next day. So, he didnt want to loose his last chance of playing games. He played the games he was good with all that evening and even spent the whole night till 12:00 in the lab.

Its 12:00 AM ,so, the next day started. He wanted to follow the resolution strictly. So, he pressed tilda and press quit and got up from the chair. He didn't want to stay in the lab anymore because he couldn't restrict himself from playing games.He thought of going to hostel and go straight to bed.

He woke up early in the morning, finished his work and headed to the class.He carefully followed the whole lecture which was being taught by his most unfavourite professor although it was not likely to listen. The class ended at 11:30 PM and went with his friends to coffee and had some snacks.By this, it was 12:00.Now, he didnt know what to do as all his friends were going to the lab. He couldnt walk to the hostel alone and he asked Y to give him the company. He(Y) refused to join him. He also didn't had any imporatant work to do at the hostel. Finally he decided to go to the lab and watch some movies in the lab.

There started the new story. He need head phones to watch the movie but he failed to find even one free head phones.Almost all the guys in the lab are playing CS. Now what should he do now??

He logged into 200 and found new mails but none of them were nowhere related to him.He held the button 'D' for a while until all the messages are marked 'D'. Then he logged into yahoo, orkut etc and browsed the net for a while. He failed to kill time and got bored. Now the next stage started, he started to watch his friend's(Y) game and commenting on his game, but his friend(Y) discarded him.

 Now another friend of his(Z) was shouting that a lost slot left in the server and asking all the lab people to join. His friend(Y) said," It is better to play rather than watching someone's game and you are wasting time in some way, then why dont you join the server?".

He couldnt make the decision and he was thinking about it. The server was full and a guy from outside the lab joined. (A) came to the lab and he wanted to play now. All of the pc's were occupied and everyone except him were playing CS.(A) came straight to him and asked for the PC as he was not playing. Our gamer (X) said that he wouldn't give it to him because he wanted it. All of his friends knew that he was not using the PC and they supported (A)  saying that "Join the server or let A play".

Guess what he did now??

As he is addicted gamer, he broke his resolution and joined the server and started playing games from that day.

You all know that CS is the well played game in IIIT. Now, I will give you the details the top 5 players of each pistol and gun we usually play(in my opinion).

usp: sairaj(lol), komar(arthur), mahesh(sker), teepo(Butcher) and Pradeep(Ranker)

deagle: komar(arthur), mahesh(sker), saikiran(saki), Pradeep(Ranker) and sairaj(lol).

dual elites: only one peesu (Wolverine).

defender: deepak(defender), srinivasan(Spawn), iv(gaah), kkpk(pat) and trappi(rexisgod).
AK-47: Mouli(Zaknafein), Pradeep(Ranker), Sairaj(lol), komar(arthur) and peesu(Wolverine).

claron: Mahesh(sker), Mouli(Zaknafein), komar(arthur), trappi(rexisgod) and saikiran(saki).

maverick: manto(streak), vp(lionking), deepak(sirius), sairaj(lol) and amar(black).

sniper: sairaj(lol), mahesh(sker), saikiran(saki), Manish(mat) and teepo(Butcher).

Although there are lot of good players who play very well with AK and maverick, I chose 5 players. Every player who plays cz plays OK with AK and mavericks. I didn’t mention smgs because almost everyone is good at them.
